Watch a virtual concert online

watch a virtual concert online - image of an orchestra

What’s the Idea?

If you love attending concerts you are probably missing them, but many top orchestras are making virtual concerts available online FREE.

What’s the story?

I am a long-standing supporter of the Academy of Ancient Music (AAM) and am really missing attending their concerts in London.

However, for some time now, the AAM has been streaming its concerts live on their Facebook page so you don’t have to miss out.

Historical performances and recordings are also available on their own website – and it is a real treat to revisit and enjoy these concerts.

There’s lots of other organisations doing the same thing so you are sure to find a virtual concert online that fits your musical interests.

People should do this because…?

If you love music (and I particularly love historically-informed performances of music from the Baroque and early classical periods) you will be truly entertained by attending a virtual concert.

How do you do it?

For Baroque and early classical music, just visit the Academy of Ancient Music’s own web page here.

Or you can also visit their Facebook page and enter a wonderful world of glorious music.

You can also find a list of other organisations providing classical concerts online here.

Or if you’re into pop and rock, you can find a list of virtual concerts here.

Stuff you may need

  • PC or Laptop or Smartphone – with video and audio on
  • access to the internet.
