Hopefully you are reading this page because you’d like to volunteer to help StuffToDoAtHome.com succeed in its mission to Make Lives Better.
(If you want to know more about what we’re doing, you can find out here.)
Our project is currently run on the kindness of volunteers and private donations, whilst we seek grants and funding to take us to the next stage of our journey.
If you can help us, we would love to hear from you.
(It could be great for your portfolio too!)
Just fill out the webform at the bottom of this page and tell us how you can help.
Below is a list of the kinds of people we are actively looking for.
But if you don’t see someone who looks like you and you still want to get involved, please get in touch.
An important strand of our business is nurturing, mentoring, and teaching.
So we’re very happy to help our volunteers learn any additional skills they may need.
And because we work completely remotely, we can accept help from people anywhere in the world.
So there’s no geographical constraint (although you will need to be able to speak and read English).
Are you a funding expert or are you great at getting grants? We need people to help us with funding bids for our next round of development and to keep us going whilst we start to monetise. Or maybe you have funds to deploy and think we might be a suitable project? Either way, please get in touch.
Do you have your own blog or website, or social media pages? Could you bring some of that content to StuffToDoAtHome.com, to help Make Lives Better? We’re very happy for you to link back to your other properties on the web and drive traffic to them (you could open up a whole new audience).
Are you an expert in your field? Or do you have a hobby or interest you love and know loads about? We are looking for Subject Matter Experts to help us curate rich content areas – you don’t need to be able to write, you just need to know your stuff! (But if you can do both – great!)
Do you write for a living? Or for pleasure? We are looking for people to write for the website, either about their own interests and passions, or working with Subject Matter Experts to bring their ideas to the page. Don’t worry if you’ve never written for web or SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) – we’ll teach you!
Are you good at shaping other people’s content? Do you have an eye for detail? We are looking for people who can take our Stuffer’s webform submissions, tidy them up for SEO, and get them live on the site. Don’t worry if you’re not an SEO expert – we will teach you.
Do you work in PR? Could you help us get exposure for our project or reach people who could endorse us? We are looking for people to advise on PR strategy and help build our profile.
Do you know all about YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more? It doesn’t have to be your job, maybe you just enjoy managing your own social media content. We are looking for people who can help us to grow our Social Media presence.
Do you have a great eye for web design? Are you passionate about creating outstanding user journeys? We are looking for people who can help us make our website as usable and shareable a possible – even if it’s just in an advisory capacity.
Do you crunch code like peanut M&M’s? Can you help us realise our vision of having one of the best websites on the planet? We’re looking for front-end and back-end developers who can spare us a few hours here and there to help out, and maybe continue with us on a paid basis once we have funding.
We are looking for college and university students who would like to learn about content creation, websites, social media, and how to run a business.
We’ll also teach essential life skills, like how to organise your time, how to be a self-starter, and how to lead. We can also help with finding coaches and mentors depending on your area of interest.
There is the opportunity for initial voluntary work to turn into paid internships and jobs, once we have secured funding for the business.
If you don’t fit any of the profiles above, don’t worry! You can still help. Literally ANYBODY can become a Stuffer (someone who posts an idea on our website).
You just need to use our ‘Add an Idea’ webform and we will get it web-ready and publish it for you.
If you’re not comfortable using the webform, then just email us at team@stufftodoathome.com and we’ll set up an interview. The most important thing is that you get to share your ideas with the world.
