What’s the Idea?
Flapjacks are incredibly easy to make, and incredibly yummy too!
What’s the story
I have always loved to bake sweet things and my son and I often bake cakes, cookies and muffins together.
One of our favourite recipes is definitely flapjacks, they are so quick and easy to make and only take around 15 minutes to bake in the oven.
They are delicious as snacks throughout the day or as a dessert when still warm & served with ice cream!
People should do this because…?
Flapjacks are so easy to make and you won’t need many ingredients or much time either!
How do you do it?
Pre-heat the over to 200 celsius degrees. Then, you will need the following ingredients:
300 grams of oats
150 grams of sugar (ideally brown sugar but white sugar will work too)
4 tablespoons of golden syrup
150 grams of butter.
Mix all these ingredients together in a mixing bowl using a spoon. Then, spoon the mixture in a baking tin and push it flat with the spoon (how thick the flapjacks end up will depend on the size of your tin, so use a bigger tin if you like thin flapjacks, or a smaller tin if you like thick ones).
Put the tin in the over and bake for around 15-20 minutes until the flapjacks are golden brown. Enjoy!
