CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
The Stuff To Do 2020 Landscape painting competition is open to all artists of all abilities and all ages, anywhere in the World.
There is no charge for entry.
Entries should be submitted via our online webform, as digital photos of minimum 72dpi and 1000px width.
Please do not email entries to us as they will not be eligible for the competition.
We will only accept one submission per artist. Where more than one painting is submitted, the first submission will be judged.
The subject matter should be recognisably of a landscape: defined as an outdoors view of countryside, or an urban, or industrial area
Semi-abstract landscapes will be accepted.
Original, 2D paintings, in any paint medium (such as oils, acrylics, or watercolour, or a mixture) are eligible for entry.
Mixed media submissions are acceptable, provided they are 2D and predominantly created in paint.
Printmaking, pure photography, computer generated or manipulated artwork and 3D sculptural works are not eligible.
Artwork for the competition must be submitted by the artist who created it.
Drawings or paintings of inappropriate or offensive subject matter will be removed from the competition.
All work must be your own intellectual property.
This means we will not accept artworks that directly copy other people’s work (this does not include artistic interpretations) or works that are made from a tutorial.
We do not accept artworks which have previously won competitions or which have been exhibited in any established galleries.
The winning work must be available for viewing, if requested, and must be the same as the digital photo submission.

The maximum jpeg file size is 3MB. Images of artwork must be at least 1000px wide (with a resolution of at least 72px per inch).
Please ensure that your image is the correct way up before submitting.
The image of the artwork should be a clear, high quality photograph which must not show any unnecessary or irrelevant content, such as frames, mounts, walls, tables or any other kind of background.
The image should be an accurate representation of the art work, taken in bright natural light, as well as being of a high resolution for reproduction online.
The entry form will also ask for the following information for each artwork:
- Title of the artwork.
- Mediums used to make the artwork.
- What inspired you to make the artwork?
The winner will be selected at the discretion of the judge(s) and their decision is final.
Any prize is non-transferable.
Stuff To Do Ltd is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the 2020 Landscape Painting Competition, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting or these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize.
Stuff To Do Ltd reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the 2020 Landscape Painting Competition, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Stuff To Do Ltd determines that the 2020 Landscape Painting Competition cannot be conducted as planned or should a virus, bug, tampering or unauthorised intervention, technical failure or other cause beyond Stuff To Do Ltd’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the 2020 Landscape Painting Competition.
In the event any tampering or unauthorized intervention may have occurred, Stuff To Do Ltd reserves the right to void suspect entries at issue. Stuff To Do Ltd and its agents, and representatives, and any telephone network or service providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online service or any other error, human or otherwise.
INDEMNIFICATION & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By entering the 2020 Landscape Painting Competition, each entrant agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless Stuff To Do Ltd, the software platform, administrator, advertising and promotional agencies, and all their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from any liability, damages, losses or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from that entrant’s participation in the competition and the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize that may be won. Stuff To Do Ltd does not make any warranties, express or implied, as to the condition, fitness or merchantability of the prize.
Stuff To Do Ltd disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from access to or the download of information or materials connected with the competition.
Stuff To Do Ltd disclaims any liability for any breach of copyright made by an artist’s submission, accidental, unintentional or otherwise.
We take each submission and the information regarding it in good faith. We will not conduct any background checks unless we believe there are grounds for disqualification or we have been alerted by an additional party.
Stuff To Do Ltd reserves the right to extend the submissions period for any of its competitions.
By participating, each entrant grants Stuff To Do Ltd permission to use his/her/their name, artwork, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
