What’s the Idea?
Disney Magic Moments is bringing stories, activities & videos to your home from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.
What’s the story
One of our favourite family holidays is going to Disney theme parks.
We went to Disney World 4 years ago and Disneyland in California last year.
That is where we discovered that Disney is not just for kids – Disney brings magic to everyone.
I was doing a bit of research into activities online and wondered if Disney had something to offer.
This was based on how much we’ve enjoyed our past holidays (we’ve had lots of Disney Magic Moments!)
And of course all of the familiar characters and movies that we enjoy as a family.
I was very pleased to see that they did!
As the theme park doors are temporarily closed Disney have recently launched a new website called Disney Magic Moments.
It’s full of lots of things to do, for example we have:
- listened to a bedtime story from Moana herself
- re-lived the theme park Illuminations, fireworks, and parades
- ridden a couple of virtual roller coasters
- coloured in Elsa
- and have completed a few Star Wars mazes – all for free!
My daughter is looking forward to learning about how to draw Olaf!
As a huge fan of Disney, I just had to share this.
People should do this because…?
It’s really is full of Disney Magic Moments, so it’s perfect for people missing their Disney holiday, or who want to relive their Disney memories, or who are Disney fans.
If you’re thinking about a Disney holiday one day it gives you a really good idea of what it’s like.
There are new stories, videos, parades and virtual rides being released every week.
While many of the virtual rides have already been published on YouTube, the new releases let you see the difference between parks around the world.
They also provide unique information and history about certain rides.
How do you do it?
I’ve provided some links to the key attractions below.
Here is the link to the home page.
These are the things we enjoyed the most:
At home with Olaf – new short clips released every Friday by animators and producers working from home;
Learn to Draw with Disney Animation;
Disney Story Time – read by some favourite Disney characters including Moana, Mulan and Toy Story;
Free downloadable Disney Colouring and Activity Sheets;
Disney Fun football Activities With The Football Association;
Dance Tutorials With a Popular Disney Character;
This is a new site, released in early April 2020, and apparently there’s still lots to come – so that’s something to look forward to!
