De-stress by watching someone stroking their cat

What’s the Idea?

If you are feeling stressed or anxious, or fed-up or bored, take 2 or 3 minutes downtime to watch someone stroking their cat

What’s the story

I am very lucky to share my life with 4 cats and a dog.

Like many people, I have found the last few weeks during the Coronavirus lockdown a little bit worrying and stressful.

So I have been de-stressing by taking a couple of minutes out every now and then, to give one of the cats a little bit of love and fuss.

It just occurred to me that not everyone has that luxury and may be feeling stressed, fed-up, and even a little lonely.

So I have filmed some short clips of me stroking my cats that people can enjoy and maybe forget about this crazy world we’re living in, for just a few minutes.

People should do this because…?

Stroking cats (or other pets) is literally one of the most relaxing, de-stressing things you can do.

So if you don’t have a cat, then this is the next best thing.

How do you do it?

All you have to do is go and find a nice comfy spot to sit in, get yourself a cup of tea (or your preferred drink) and watch me stroking my cats.

Stuff you may need

  • Smartphone / Laptop / PC – some way to view the website
  • Wifi /broadband / mobile signal
  • A nice cup of tea
