What’s the Idea?
Build a den with your children, at home or outside, and discover the fun.
This is a perfect rainy or sunny day activity and one which is fantastic for encouraging your child’s creativity and developing certain skills.
What’s the story
Who doesn’t love to build a den?
Whether outside or in the house on a rainy day?
It’s fun, creative and is brilliant for fuelling your child’s imagination.
This is a fun activity for children of all ages, whether they are young or old.
My little ones are 4 and 2 years old and they need help making a den, but they love getting involved.
And it allows them to express their own creativity while having a say in how they want their den to look.
Let your children’s imaginations run wild!
People should do this because…?
If you want a fun activity that the whole family can enjoy, look no further than building a den!
Everyone can get involved and the finished result will give your children a fun space that is ‘just for them’, which they can adorn with toys and games.
Some older children may even want to build a den outside in the garden for sleepovers with friends – making them feel very grown-up!
How do you do it?
You can build a den anyway you and your children like. The decision is entirely up to you, so the only limit is your imagination!
Whether you simply use cushions and blankets in a sitting room or a proper den building set, the possibilities really are endless!
If you are building inside, try and ensure you have something high to hang blankets on, such as a chair of the back of a sofa.
If you are hanging things outside, make sure you are using something sturdy to carry the weight. You do not want your den collapsing!
